Beatles Drummer Ringo Starr Using Website to Support Rhinos

Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is a big fan of the rhino, and he’s doing something to help save the animal. Starr currently has a photo of a rhinoceros plastered on the homepage of his official website, RingoStarr.com, plus the message “Save the Rhinos,” to help get the word out that the creature is on the endangered species tally. The site goes on to read, “Ringo Starr 2012: Peace & Love.”

“I’ve always loved rhinos,” Starr said in a statement. “They were close to my and [the late Who drummer] Keith Moon’s heart. In fact I had two huge ones made and gave one to Keith. Mine is still here out on the grass here in England.”

Starr, overall, is an animal lover. Before the rhino photo, he had a picture of his cat on the homepage of his website. For more information on the rhino cause, visit RingoStarr.com or SheldrickWildlifeTrust.org.
