Bron-Yr-Aur

Bron-Yr-Aur is a little 18th century cottage in Wales. It’s important because some very important music was conceived within it’s walls. The cottage was used by the family of Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant during the1950s as a holiday home. In 1970 Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page spent time there after a long and grueling concert tour of North America. Though the cottage had no running water or electricity, they used it as a retreat to write and record the songs that would appear on Led Zeppelin III. It was just what the boys needed, a working at their own pace kind of time-out. According to Jimmy Page “It was the first time I really came to know Robert. Actually living together at Bron-Yr-Aur as opposed to occupying nearby hotel rooms. The songs took us into areas that changed the band, and it established a standard of inspiration..which is the best thing a muscian can do”. It was a very creative time for the band. This Saturday, get to the Revolution early and you’ll catch a whole bunch of Zeppelin and the music that would become Led Zeppelin III. Another album we’ll jump into is “The White Album” from the Beatles. Plan on being there with me. This Saturday 7-10am for Say You Want A Revolution..the Eagle’s flashback to the 60s.
