Kansas seemed to be an unlikely place for American "prog rock" to blossom...sorta like ordering escargot in a Topeka steakhouse. But the band did roll out of the heartland of America in the mid 70's...with songs that seemed almost biblical--"Dust in the Wind", and "Carry on Wayward Son." Or was that Prodigal son?? And they incorporated a rock n roll violin to boot. Set sail with their landmark album tonite at 8 on Classic Album Side.
