Good citizenship counts in all walks of life.... Especially in the high profile world of big time sports. You've got to be on your best behavior. You're too important as a role model to risk acting like a jackass. Unless, of course, you can really play. There have been felons, molesters, racists and cheaters who have earned some good money in the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball.... and I know that's the way it is. Character flaws are important... but driving in runs is huge too. With all due respect, if Charles Manson could hit .371, he'd simply be "misunderstood." If you can produce, anybody can be on a roster.... unless you're Barry Bonds.
