 Surprise! A Kenyan won the Boston Marathon today (April 19) in record time--2:05:52. His name is Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot..and he broke by 82 seconds the record formerly held by...Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot. Yeah, ANOTHER guy named Robert K. Cheruiyot--and they're NOT EVEN RELATED. I thought, geez, what are the ODDS of THAT happening?? Turns out...pretty good. You see, when John J. Kelley won the Boston Marathon in 1957, he was congratulated at the finish line by the man who won in 1945...John A. Kelley. Small world, ain't it?? I'd still hate to have to RUN around it...
