Small world...Tall dude

 Brian Zoubek is the 7'1" center for Duke, who made the Sweet 16 this weekend. Last year in the tourney, I noticed Zoubek playing with the Blue Devils, and thought "Hmmm...gotta be." Sure enough, Brian is the son of 2 of my college compadres--Paul & Liza Zoubek. Liza was a good friend of mine --what, junior year, 1976?? Sweet & smart, at 6'2",she was also the TALLEST woman I had known. Years later, I learned that she and Paul had married. Now Paul is about 6'6"..so we all joked that "Hey..they're gonna be raising a basketball team." Turns out to be true. I don't know Brian personally, but given the respect I have for his parents, I'm sure he will walk tall whether he gets a lucrative pro basketball contract or not. Certainly would be ANOTHER strange twist to see him play for the Kings...
