When legendary movie man (and director of the 1987 feature film "The Doors") Oliver Stone was in Sacramento a few years back, I asked him about the movie and about Jim. "To me, Morrison was the genuine article: a rock Messiah. While Mick Jagger was just putting on the clothes, Morrison was actually trying to change the world!" Whether you liked Jim or despised him, I think we can all agree that he was an archetype and that today's rock scene is badly in need of a star who does more than just "put on the clothes!"
