We're Booked!

 Awhile back I called a very well respected, well known Sacramento steak house, inquiring about a dinner reservation for my group of friends. The voice on the other end said..... "we're all booked up"... and she hung up on me.... just like that.
What? That's it? That annoyed me so much, not only did I tell all my friends... I never called again for at least two years...
One night, I decided the moratorium was over, and tried again. This time...I talked to a cordial host, got a reservation.... and we all enjoyed a terrific dinner. I couldn't help but think about that original hostess... One sentence.... cost that proprietor two year's worth of business. Wonder how many others she hung up on?
