What We Have In Mind...

We have the Revolution in mind, for this Saturday, right here on the Eagle. Some birthday's this weekend that are important to the Rock and Roll timeline, include Richie Furay..67. We know him from the Buffalo Springfield, Poco and the Souther, Hllman, Furay band.  Richie is currently rehearsing with Neil and Stephen Stills and will be playing as the Buffalo Springfield again in Oakland June 1&2, two nights! I hear tix prices are pretty steep. Hey, another birthday boy just popped his clown like head in here, I'm sure you remember Wavy Gravy, the clown prince of the revolution. This is a big year for Wavy, 75 years young and still doing good work on the earth. He is a walking testement to good vibes... entertainment activist. And finally a happy birthday to a guy who's name isn't a household word, but like many of the unsung, he has his place in the evolution of our art. His name is Steve Katz and he was a contemporary of Al Kooper's. He and Al formed the Blues Project, and later Blood Sweat and Tears. He became a record producer and label executive. He's  66. Come to the birthday party this Saturday..party supplies and plenty of great music will be available. Till then, be sure to hold it in. Peace out.
